What is Endolift?

Endolift is a minimally invasive laser treatment that boosts skin restructuring and reduces skin laxity. It replaces the need for surgery by using hair-thin micro-optical fibers inserted under the skin and uses laser energy to work in two ways.

Deep Tissue Tightening: It heats the septal connective tissue, promoting immediate skin retraction and stimulating long-term collagen production.

Before the Procedure (Preparation)
Your journey begins with a consultation at Skin and Scar Care Clinic. We assess your skin thickness, laxity, and fat distribution to determine if you are a candidate.
2 Weeks Prior: Avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen) and supplements (fish oil, Vitamin E) to minimise bruising.
2 Days Prior: Avoid alcohol.

During the Procedure

Anesthesia

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. injectable local anaesthetic to ensure comfort.

Insertion

A microscopic fiber optic is inserted into the hypodermis (fat layer). No scalpel is used, and no stitches are required.

Action

The physician moves the fiber in a fan-like pattern. You may feel a sensation of heat or mild "zaps," but it is generally well-tolerated.

IMMEDIATE: Visible lifting effect seen right after the procedure.
WEEKS 1-4: Swelling subsides; tissue begins to settle.
MONTHS 3-6 (PEAK RESULTS): Deep collagen production hits its peak. Skin is tighter, smoother, and contours are fully defined.
LONG TERM: Results are long-lasting and can endure for years.

Downtime & Recovery

Endolift entails minimal social downtime, but it is not “zero downtime.”
Swelling: Mild to moderate swelling is normal and usually peaks at 24-48 hours. It typically resolves within 3 to 7 days.
Bruising: Minor bruising may occur at the entry points, usually fading within 10 days.
Numbness: Temporary numbness or sensitivity in the treated area can last for a few weeks as the nerves recover from the heat.
Activity: Most clients return to work within 1-2 days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 1 week.
Compression: If treating the jowls or neck, wearing a chin strap at night for 1-2 weeks is highly recommended to optimise contouring.

Contraindications

You may not be suitable for Endolift if you have:

Active bacterial or viral infections (e.g., Herpes Simplex) in the treatment area.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Autoimmune diseases affecting wound healing (e.g., Scleroderma, Lupus).
Uncontrolled diabetes.
History of using Anticoagulants (Aspirin/Warfarin
/Clopidogrel/Apixaban
/Edoxaban)
History of keloid scarring (cautionary).
Recent dermal fillers/threads in the exact treatment zone (within the last 3-6 months).
Unrealistic expectations (this is not a surgical facelift/surgical tummy tuck).
